The start of another exciting NWSL season means a fresh set of jerseys. The jerseys this year are nothing short of amazing, but a few caught my eye more than others. Let's take a look at my top six NWSL jerseys for the 2025 season!
North Carolina Courage - The Believe Kit / Secondary
What girl wouldn't want to play in a hot pink/red jersey? The little detailing adds to the stylish color despite the relatively simple jersey. A bright, simple jersey on the field will always stand out more to me than a regular color with a bit of design.
San Diego Wave - The Altamar Kit / Secondary
In the club's few years of existence, their kits have been good, but nothing truly stood out to me until now. The carefully designed jersey perfectly reflects the ocean. Like I said with our MLS blog, a jersey that perfectly represents a team will always be a favorite of mine. They also got creative with the kit name. If you did not know, "Altamar" means international waters or high seas in Spanish.
NJ/NY Gotham FC - Home Kit
Gotham’s home kit has a lot more meaning than some might realize. The stripe down the middle of the shirt represents the Hudson River, the river between New Jersey and New York, which means the two areas on the sides of the stripe signify NJ and NY. It's a clever design that some fans may not even know of. The teal color continues to honor Sky Blue FC, the previous name before the club switched to Gotham. A very unique jersey with a lot of meaning behind it will always be a favorite.
Angel City FC - Los Angeles Kit / Secondary
This is my absolute favorite of the NWSL jerseys this season. The colors and detailing are perfectly crafted. You would never realize how much is going on in this jersey because of the way they made the detailing calm and subtle. Angel City truly nailed this jersey and blew my expectations away. This will be a hard jersey to top in years to come.
Washington Spirit - Shockwave Kit / Secondary
Washington is sticking to their bright yellow color, making it even bolder this year. Despite not much detailing, the jersey looks sleek and clean. The neon green and navy accents tie the whole jersey together, making it one of the best. The bold yellow is perfect for a team ready to make a statement on the field this year.
Houston Dash - Purple Cosmic Storm Kit / Secondary
The vibrant tie-dye look and a galaxy vibe make this one of the best jerseys in the NWSL this season. Moving on from the classic orange color, the new colors featured in this jersey signify a new chapter for the club. This fun and exciting look is setting the tone for their season as they look to make a splash this year.
Utah Royals - Great Salt Lake Kit / Secondary
From the coloring to the detailing to the crest, Utah killed this jersey. Royal blue and yellow will always signify royalty, luxury and honor, which matches their team's name. The detailing on the jersey is based on Utah's terrain, showing respect for their state. And the best part of the jersey – their new secondary crest. Some might skip over this part of the jersey or might not think anything of it, but the crest is actually the shape of the state. The thought that went into this jersey is remarkable and deserves the attention it's getting.
