Side A

Spain: 3-0-0

Spain came into the tournament as one of the favorites. Some viewers have noticed this year's team is reminding them of the Spain team who won the 2008 Euro. Since that 2008 tournament, Spain has won four major tournaments.

In total Spain has won three Euro titles, tying Germany for the most. They have appeared in 12 out of 16 Euro tournaments. Going into the Round of 16, according to FOX Sports they are +450 to win the title.

This round they play Georgia. Player to watch: Fabian Ruiz.

Georgia: 1-1-1

Appearing in their first ever Euro tournament, Georgia has successfully put themselves into the Round of 16. They’ve been the Cinderella story of this tournament so far, delighting fans with their entertaining, attacking style.

To get to this place, they had to pull off a major upset, a 2-0 win against the top team in their group, Portugal. According to FOX Sports, they are +15000 to bring the trophy home.

Georgia will be playing Spain. Player to watch: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Germany: 2-1-0

Germany has, and always will be, a powerhouse. Appearing in 14 tournaments, they have won three titles, which ties Spain for the most by any country, and has made it past the group stages 11 times.

Going into the round of 16, FOX Sports says they are +550 to add a fourth title. Will Germany be just the fourth host country to win the title?

Germany looks to take down Denmark. Player to watch: Jamal Musiala.

Denmark: 0-3-0

Denmark is a bit of a question mark coming into this Euro as they made it to the semi-finals in 2020, but did not qualify in 2016. FOX Sports say they are +8000 to win it all.

In 10 Euro appearances, Denmark has brought the trophy home once in 1992. They have not had much luck since then. Despite a pedestrian group stage, they have had one of the stories of the tournament, with their star Christian Eriksen, who suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch in Euro 2020 scoring their opening goal of these Euros.

Denmark will go up against Germany. Player to watch: Christian Eriksen.

Portugal: 2-0-1

Portugal has shown why they will continue to be a favorite in the Euro tournament. Going into the Round of 16, according to FOX Sports they are +700 to win another title.

The Seleção have a 100% record of reaching EURO knockout stages, coming through the group stage nine times. They have also won one title. Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for the most goals scored at the Euros, 14.

Portugal will be playing Slovenia. Player to watch: Ronaldo.

Slovenia: 0-3-0

In their second appearance, this is the furthest they have found themselves. In 2000, they made their Euro debut and then did not make it back until this year. This is their first time making out of the group stage, and the scenes of celebration after their final match showed just what it means to the country.

FOX Sports puts them at +25000 to win the title for the first time.

They will be playing Portugal this round. Player to watch: Benjamin Šeško.

France: 1-2-0

France has a long history in the Euro, they hosted the inaugural tournament in 1960. Out of 10 appearances, they have made it past the group stage eight times and won two titles.

They advanced in 2nd from their very tough group, behind surprise of the tournament, Austria. Going into the Round of 16, FOX Sports says they are +600 to add a third trophy.

They will be playing Belgium. Player to watch: Kylian Mbappe.

Belgium: 1-1-1

After an interesting group stage, Belgium has punched their ticket to the Round of 16. Belgium made the quart-finals two tournaments in a row while only making the finals once. They have yet to win a title.

They will be playing France. Player to watch: Kevin De Bruyne.

Side B

Romania: 1-1-1

This will be the second time Romania moves on from the group stage. The only other time was in 2000 where they made it to the quarter-finals. Romania has only qualified for the tournament five times, 1984, 1996, 2000, 2008 and 2016.

Romania will be looking to move past the Netherlands in the Round of 16. FOX Sports says they are +10000 to win their first trophy.

Player to watch: Razvan Marin

Netherlands: 1-1-1

Netherlands had success in the early 2000s where they made it to the semi-finals in back to back years, 2000 and 2004. Since then their performance and results have declined.

It’s been a mixed bag for the Dutch so far, and a dramatic late loss to Austria in the final group game meant they had to squeak through as a 3rd place team. The Netherlands will be playing Romania in this round. They are +1200 to win the title according to FOX Sports.

Player to watch: Cody Gakpo

Austria: 2-0-1

For the second time ever, Austria has made it to the Round of 16. In just their fourth ever appearance, they look to bring home their first title. The first time Austria made the tournament was when they were hosts in 2008. Since then they have only missed one Euro, 2012.

Despite only making it to the Round of 16 once, they are still +1600 to win it all.

They will be looking to take down Turkey this round. Player to watch: Marcel Sabitzer.

Turkey: 2-0-1

Turkey always seem to be a top pick for dark horse in major tournaments, and this year is no exception, especially after a pulsating opening match against Georgia that had it all. In 2008, Turkey made it to the semi-finals, the furthest they have ever gotten. They made it to the group stage in 2016 and 2020. Will this be the year they finally make it further?

The co-hosts of the 2032 Euro tournament currently have a +5000 to win their first title.

Turkey and Austria will face off in this Round of 16. Player to watch: Orkun Kokcu

England: 1-2-0

England was heavily favored coming into the tournament, despite what some would call a disappointing group stage, they are still favored to win the title at +350.

Is it time for England to finally bring a Euro title home? Despite appearing in 11 Euro tournaments, they have failed to win one. Last Euro they made it to the final where they ultimately lost to Italy in penalty kicks.

England will look to move past Slovakia into the next round. Player to watch: Jude Bellingham / Harry Kane.

Slovakia: 1-1-1

In the beginning of Slovakia’s Euro history, they played as Czechoslovakia. Playing as Czechoslovakia, they made the tournament three different times. After switching to just Slovakia, they made the tournament three more times.  They did not qualify after the 1980 Euros until 2016. After making it back into the tournament in 2016, they got knocked out in the Round of 16.

According to FOX Sports, they are +15000 to win the title.

Slovakia will be playing England this upcoming round. Player to watch: Ivan Schranz.

Italy: 1-1-1

The reigning champions of the Euros. In 2020, Italy had the honor of bringing home the trophy after beating England in penalty kicks.

Italy has a long history in the Euro Championship tournament. They have made 11 appearances out of 16 opportunities to. Despite being reigning champions, FOX Sports says they are +1600 to repeat.

Italy will kick off the Round of 16 this Saturday against Switzerland. Player to watch: Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Switzerland: 1-2-0

The first time Switzerland qualified for the tournament was in 1996, since then they have made it four other times. They struggled to get past the group stage in the first few years of making the tournament, but have made a steady incline.

Despite becoming better in the last few years, FOX Sports only gives them a +3500 to win the trophy.

They will look to move past Italy this round. Player to watch: Remo Freuler.

With power houses Spain, Germany, Portugal and France all on one side of the bracket, this will be a very exciting Round of 16. All of these games will be played from June 29 to July 2. Which teams will move on? Will there be any major upsets?
