Not only does soccer bring people from around the world together, but it also brings video gamers from around the world together. With the launch of EA Sports FC 26, we decided to throw together a playlist with some of the biggest hits from over the years.
Here are some highlights of the playlist!

My Type – Saint Motel
As someone who doesn’t play video games, I was shocked to find out that this song is one of the most well-known FIFA songs. The upbeat tempo and fun lyrics scream a good time, and that’s exactly what this song delivers. Maybe it’s time for me to play some FIFA if the songs on there are as good as this one is.

19-2000 (Soulchild Remix) – Gorillaz
This makes me feel very old, but this Gorillaz track opened FIFA 2002. That was the year I really got into the game. The graphics look awful now, but at the time, along with new gameplay, they were probably the best of any sports game. My friends and I had endless tournaments. Juve and Edgar Davids were my squad!

Dreaming – Smallpools
This summer, I had the opportunity to see Smallpools perform at Summerfest along the coast of Lake Michigan; the entire crowd, packed with music festivalgoers, was adorned in white adidas Sambas, baggy cargo shorts, and seemingly every soccer jersey under the sun. When the iconic opening for Dreaming began, unsurprisingly, the crowd erupted as if they’d all just scored a 90th-minute winner with Víctor Ibarbo on FIFA 14. It was a loud, screaming collective that found a niche through a controller and a love for the sport, chanting in unison, like an impromptu supporters section. If you get the chance to hear any of these songs live, take it.
