This tournament is the last chance for the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosts, Canada, the United States, and Mexico, to play in a major tournament before the big stage.
Mexico, the defending champions, would like to repeat and get back onto the podium for the second year in a row. Canada has only won one Gold Cup title, but it would like to find its way back to the top. The United States, who won in 2021, looks to return to the podium but does not have its best lineup ready to go.
The United States will be able to give young players a chance to play due to veterans participating in the summer club tournament or due to injury. With holes up and down the lineup, these players are going to prove they belong in the final USMNT camps for the big tournament next summer.
The 18th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup will start with Mexico vs Dominican Republic on June 14 at 10:15 p.m. ET.
