FIFA World Cup 2026™
In case you live under a rock, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is coming to North America this summer, and we can hardly wait! 48 teams will visit the United States, Mexico, and Canada, as the new format brings exciting, iconic tension to another level. While most teams know their opponents, six spots are still up for grabs and won’t be settled until the international break at the end of March. The games kick off on June 11 when Mexico takes on South Africa in a rematch of the 2010 World Cup opening game.
USMNT Jerseys
Nike and the US have a history of incredible jerseys, especially during World Cups. While we won’t engage with leaked jerseys, we are so excited to see the federation’s concept and the way the team embraces it. Red, white, and blue make for great designs, and the look they go with for the opening game against Paraguay on June 12 will become instantly recognizable.
The First Ever FIFA Women’s Champions Cup
The first-ever FIFA Women’s Champions Cup championship game is almost here! Our partner, Gotham FC, which is playing in this tournament as the 2025 NWSL Champions, has the opportunity to take home the brand-new trophy in the inaugural tournament. Gotham FC takes on Corinthians in the semifinals on Wednesday, Jan. 28. If Gotham advances, the final will be held on Sunday, Feb. 1, and will either play Arsenal or ASFAR.
SheBelieves Cup Returns
The annual SheBelieves Cup is returning, and the USWNT looks to win back its title after Japan won in 2025. This year, the USA, Argentina, Canada, and Colombia will play in the tournament, which kicks off on March 1. The second and third match days will be on March 4 and March 7.
UCL Final
The 2025-26 Champions League final will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Budapest, Hungary. Arsenal is currently favored to bring home the trophy, followed by Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and reigning champions PSG. The knockout phase begins mid-February.
Will Arsenal Finally Win Their Premier League Final?
Are the years of heartbreak coming to an end for Arsenal? Arsenal currently sits in first place in the Premier League, six points ahead of second-place Manchester City. In the past three seasons, Arsenal has finished second. Will this be the year they finally break their curse and come out on top of the standings?
MLS
Major League Soccer kicks off on Feb. 21, but after last season’s enthralling climax, 2026 promises to be even better. Lionel Messi and Inter Miami reached the summit by beating Thomas Müller and the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS Cup. Superstars like Heung-min Son, Evander, Anders Dreyer, and so many others continue to join the league in record numbers, and the World Cup will likely accelerate that upward trajectory.
NWSL Season Begins
The 2026 NWSL season is already looking to be exciting. The NWSL welcomes expansion teams Boston Legacy FC and Denver Summit FC in their first season, officially becoming a 16-team league. The official start to the season will be on Friday, Feb. 20, with the NWSL Challenge Cup. The regular season will begin on Friday, March 13.
USL and The US Open Cup
While the sport continues to grow, lower-league soccer remains one of the most entertaining and accessible ways to watch soccer in the United States. USL Championship (USL-C), League One (USL-1), and the US Open Cup embrace local soccer culture and allow fans to enjoy high-level soccer without living in an MLS or NWSL market.
Tent, Field & Sidewalk Sales
Soccer Post is gearing up for Tent Sales across the country, passing the best deals on to you! This annual tradition is only getting bigger and better as we bring the hottest deals on gear, cleats, apparel, and more on the road, hitting cities across the country for a three-month blowout. Last year, we hosted over a dozen tent, field and sidewalk sales from Annapolis to Arlington, and we can’t wait to welcome even more soccer fans in 2026!
As the soccer world gears up for an unforgettable year, it’s time to acknowledge that this is one of the best times to be a soccer fan. Soccer Post is excited to be in the middle of it all, celebrating the sport we all love and growing and expanding our stores and selections so we can serve our amazing community even better.
