adidas Unveils Ultra-Lightweight F50 ‘Too Light’ Boot Pack Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™

adidas has officially unveiled the latest evolution of its iconic F50 silo. As part of the new “Too Light” pack, adidas designed a new F50 boot to be lighter and faster than their elite models, and it will be the brand’s lightest soccer shoe ever engineered for a FIFA World Cup.

At the top of the pack is the F50 HYPERFAST EVO, a groundbreaking model that weighs just 130 grams, setting a new benchmark for lightweight performance.

The “Too Light” pack also includes restyled elite-level F50 and F50 Laceless models, each built to complement the HYPERFAST EVO with a balance of lightweight construction and enhanced ball control. All three models are available starting May 7.

Built for Speed Without Compromise

Adidas engineered the F50 HYPERFAST EVO from the ground up, prioritizing minimal weight while maintaining elite-level performance. Key features include F50 SHELL EVO, an ultra-light mesh upper that maintains excellent structural support while reducing the overall weight of the shoe. Working with the shell is F50 CAGE+, a TPU skin across the upper and midsole that keeps the foot locked in during quick directional changes.

The F50 SPEEDSYSTEM EVO is a redesigned soleplate with a stiff internal core for stability during rapid movement, and bladed studs for faster cuts.

The EVO also has a floating tongue made of a lightweight, premium material that wraps seamlessly around the foot. This creates optimal heel and foot lockdown, reducing slippage inside the boot.

Visually, the boot makes a bold statement on the pitch with a vibrant yellow-and-orange colorway, accented by signature F50 branding and a shimmering soleplate.

Elite Models Balance Speed and Control

While the HYPERFAST EVO focuses on pure speed, the F50 Elite (179g) and Elite Laceless (170g) models introduce additional features that balance speed and touch. Both retain key structural elements from the EVO version, ensuring stability and responsiveness without sacrificing comfort. This includes an upper with F50 SKIN+, an ultra-adaptive, enhanced-precision grip coating, and SPRINTWEB+, a high-definition, 3D-textured grip. Both enhance ball contact when dribbling at high speed.

Additionally, an F50 CAGE+ and THE F50 SPEEDSYSTEM+ provide the support and lockdown required for rapid cutting at top speeds and are complemented by the F50 BELT+ tunnel tongue system with TPU skin, which adapts to the wearer’s foot shape and movement.
